yes, when I read during break at work I can ignore everyone around me, I have even ignored my boyfriend. During the holidays if all we are doing is watching cartoons with my niece and nephew I have read while ignoring them too.

I like getting lost in books and most of the time I do. The last book were I got sucked in was the shock of the fall.

Yes! Theres nothing like the feeling of getting lost in a new world. Once I start reading it takes a while for me to come back to the real world. Always a sad moment when I do.

I absolutely have been guilty of picking up a good book getting lost in the pages and drifting so far out of reality that nothing around me gets done. Basically I seem to be living in the book rather then in real life. Those kinds of books are what makes me as a reader crave more. I am constantly on the search for that release being the mother of 6 an escape is greatly appreciated.

I have before. I always feel bad when I come back and realize time has flown by and nothing done.

Very rarely do I read uninterrupted by the real world. If I am home alone with nothing else that needs to be done, then I will immerse myself in a story. I can spend several hours at a stretch devoted to reading but then I will get up, make some food, do some chores, play with my animals, watch some television, or surf the web. I always try to do something "constructive" around the house before diving back in to my book.

Always! Reading is my escape. I lost tracked of how many times I was late, cause of reading and forget the time or stay up way too late to finish a book. Too me, books are my best friends and friends. Books do not judge you, betray you, stab you in the heart, and they accept you for who you are. I started my love of reading when I was six. Yes, reading is different for me because of my few disabilities. I refused to let my disabilites define me.

The last time I read a book that totally took me away from my world was when I read the Twilight Series. I think it was one or two years ago. I read all the books one right after the other. It was great fun, but I did have a feeling of all day jetlag when I got finished.

I have never felt like I've neglected the real world after a good book. This is mostly due to the fact that my reading is part of my extracurricular hobbies. :techie-studyingbrown:
