Funny I was like that with dogs for a very long time. Whenever they sighed or made any sound at all it was like "Why did he make that groan? Is he mad about something????". Sophie was the first dog I had long enough to discover the wide vocabulary dogs have. Think I got braver in my old age too, more confident...You have to be, an AmBull has a mouth big enough to disembowel a bad guy before they would see it coming. When Callie gets too playful I can get him to listen and obey...that takes some real confidence...

Both, but my husband is allergic to cats so I had to leave my cat behind when I moved out. We have a dog though. He thinks he is a huge lap dog.

Dogs all the way! DID YOU KNOW a cat will eat your body when you die. A dog might but my grandmas dog laid by her side when she died for 3 days until someone found my grandma.

If a robber came and you have a dog MOST NOT ALL dogs will go attack and protect you. No cat I PERSONALLY have ever heard of tried to help hey be like "forget this I'm gonna go hide in that closet while this dummy gets robbed or shot peace, wait also I'm gonna eat your body if they shoot you cool?"

Well, we have both but cats aren't allowed into the house, only the garage and the barn and outbuildings, I am too allergice to let them on the couches or bed. Dogs are allowed pretty much anywhere, we are mushers, we have lots of dogs! We also have cows and chickens. Yup, we live in the sticks.

Cat. I'm borderline caniphobic (if that's the word?); I will cross the street to avoid walking past a dog. Having said that, there are a (very) few dogs of friends that I've got to know and love. It's definitely a problem with me not dogs.

Cats are not as independent or aloof as people think. Because of that misconception, people treat cats that way -- litter box, bowl of food, and maybe the odd toy. Occasional petting when the human wants to. Raising them in a deprivation environment like that has the same effect it would have on a human child -- retarding brain development and creating an asocial personality. Raise them in an enriched, social environment and you'll have a smart, loyal companion.
You can't put a rope around the neck of an idea.

I am more of a cat person. My boyfriend and I adopted a cat from the Humane Society about four months ago. Our cat is named 'Queenie' and she is apart of our family. I do believe that our cats thinks she a dogs. She likes to play fetch! Our Queenie will also play hide and seek. She is such a wonderful cat.

I like both. I have a very spoiled, pampered cat. I don't have a dog because it wouldn't be fair to leave it home alone all day while I'm at work.

I like both, but I'm more fond of dogs. Growing up, we had a cat and dog in the household, so I don't have too much of a preference, but dogs are way more loving and silly :D
