Name: Asma Ahsan

Age: turning 39 in March(wink - planning a going naughty party for my fortieth birthday ;))

Occupation: housewife, editor, struggling ( and I mean seriously struggling and not getting anywhere) writer. ;)

Passions: Eating cooking eating but I prefer it if someone else cooks it for me. Bless you!

Favorite book(s): Lord! don't get me started on that.

Favorite author(s): georgette heyer was my old time favorite. I have read and liked too many authors to list them here. Anyone I can understand and doesn't bore me to death is good for me.

If you could live as a character in any book, which would you choose? female version of Sherlock Holmes I guess. Always wanted to wear a bowlers hat!

Best entertainment read: Any well written book.

Favorite genre: Classics

What draws you to a book? The author. (please don't print your picture at the back to discourage me. )

Favorite series: The only series I used to follow were the young adult ones, nancy drew and stuff. I don't read series anymore but sometimes if I like a movie, I read the book it was based on. My daughter made me read Twilight.

Favorite movie adaptation of a book: Pride and Prejudice. Also Harry Potter(don't laugh. My son used to dig that series. I just love that writers imagination!)

How many books do you read, on avg. per month? These days I take months to finish one but when I had more time I used to read one to two books per week.

Library or bookstore? Bookstore.

Hardcover or paperback? I love hardcovers but they are a bother to collect and keep so I have shifted to e book now. Hassle free.

Note: i think I am the oldest member here. :) compliment to you all that you are all such good writers that I didn't realize I am among the new generation. Call me "Aunty A". :p

it's lovely to read you all.

Cheers. :)
