What is the inspiration for your avatar? Is it book related?

Mine is young Meggie from the Thorn Birds (the miniseries). The Thorn Birds is my fave book, and my name is Meg, and I love how she's gazing upward pondering the cosmos, a poor, heartbroken child.

Wow, that's rather serious and contemplative.

Mine is a Russo-anthropomorphized finger, who appears to be banging his head against guitar strings. This has many layers and sundry interpretations. Plato would say the finger playing disparate notes on the guitar is representative of the disharmony between the soul, state, and cosmos. Nietzsche would say it's the atheistic enlightened individual "giving the finger" to religion (albeit the wrong finger). Marx would say it's a common finger struggling against the other fingers for it's proper place on the hand. And Freud would say it's penis envy.

What say you?

I think it says you have a secret obsession with strangely costumed strippers. Like a frustrated housewife living out a raucous, bawdy, forbidden fantasy. No policeman or fireman for you! Nope, you go for the weird stuff.
