SACRED TREE

Post by fatima115 »

SACRED TREE

I first saw you in summer
When the sun was bright and clear
I couldn't help but wonder
If it'd forever remain there

In spring this wonder blossomed
Into a garden of thorns beneath roses
My joy could not be ransomed
Following the lead of a Moses

But autumn came suddenly
Feelings and commitments dried and began to fall
Iand with loss came reality
The grief of losing all

When the howling winds of winter emerge
I shall keep you safe in my arms
In my bosom it's ends will merge
Until the advent of summer's charms
