I Searched 'Lost' and Google Maps Sent me Here
Away from prying eyes, I uncover my disguise
Solitude is welcomed here in this refuge that I’ve built
Brick by brick, sealing the cracks from the unforgiving light
From the unforgiving eyes that hate what they cannot comprehend
Here I can surrender, here I can unclench my fists
That are aching from the battles that have been pegged against me
By a world that I don’t understand, a world that doesn’t understand me.

I clicked on the post, though, because the title made me think that this was going to be a humorous poem. The title and the poem seem incongruous. Just something to think about.
Again, I really enjoyed this work. Thank you for posting for all the world to see, and keep putting your thoughts on paper!
