What More Could I Want?

She would take my problems
and brag about her own;
but she still listened,
so what more could I want?

She was quick to anger,
yet not as quick to forgive;
but she always did eventually,
so what more could I want?

She would make me feel bad
for not doing things right;
but she never left me,
so what more could I want?

Things changed
and I learned that
there is so much more
than what I had.

They listen to me
and share their problems,
never ignoring what I had to say.
That's what more.

They are understanding
and difficult to upset
and always want things to get better.
That's what more.

They support me
and help me when I make mistakes,
and encourage me to learn from them.
That's what more.

Most of all,
they love and believe in me
and would never try to upset me.
I should never have expected less.
