Icon TRAVAILS OF MOTHERHOOD

Post by Jay512 »

The precious gold of one's life
Bore in pains by her own gold of life
Born indeed to fulfill purposes,
To serve as lessons as disposed
Accompanied with many challenges
In the world of strive and woes
Dispatched into the mold of sufferings.

On discovering her true identity,
She met the love of her life
And both get to mingled and intertwined
She conceived thereby,
In labour bears forth a goodly child,
Rejected by her husband
Who refused to bear the responsibilities.

She began again in her travails
To nurture up the child
In the process of time,
The child grew and became great
Influenced by the society,
Turning his heart against her mother

Who keeps living in an old hut
Battling hard to merely survive,
Who will come to my aid she lamented
Oh! My dearly beloved son,
If I'm propel to place you under a curse,
Your generations will never be balanced!
Live long in health and wealth she said
Upon rejections, worries and despair,
She was frustrated to commit suicide
Yielded up the ghost thereby,
And her cadaver was gathered to her own people!

I would consider condensing this poem and omitting any unnecessary lines.
