Love Sonnet 105

Post by ReyvrexQuestor Reyes »

Some stars taunt me, to mock my loneliness
As stars, I failed to praise in last night’s skies,
So furious, left to shine, regarded less,
For all I cared to see were my love’s eyes;
Like flowers which would wilt on lea unseen,
Those stars may have all faded unobserved,
With glory, nil, to show for what they’ve been.
They so resent outcomes when ill-deserved;
But glories are mostly by time erased,
Where now is Tut? Alexander the Great?
How grandly did in life they have traversed
Before they all to lowly dust translate?
…….Yet being known to have a glorious past,
…….Is oft the only glory that would last.
"In the beginning was the word.........John 1:1"
...To delineate the times that lovers miss,
...A thousand dreams can't beat a single kiss.
