I Imagined

I imagined him
His eyes
His hands
His touch
I imagined him
His smell
His walk
I imagined him
Everything about him
And then
Suddenly
I no longer had to
Because one day
He was there
Right in front of me
And I no longer
Had to imagine
I could see him
Hold him
Touch him
Smile at him
Our walk began that day
And to this day
It hasn’t ended
