Until Day break

Post by Daniel-book »

Wait until day break so that we can break up in the open,
When I can see tears welling up in your eyes,
When I can see your face conjuring an ugly twist,
Do not hide the real you behind dark shadows,
Do not call it a day in the middle of the night.

Wait until day break so that the world can witness the end of our relationship,
Let the sun witness the end of our love,
Let the neighbors know that we shall no longer be staying together,
So that when you bring another they will not raise their eyebrows,
Do not hide your anger behind dark shadows,
Do not call it a day in the middle of the night.

Wait until day break so that we can take stock of our relationship,
And know exactly where we erred,
Do not rush and cut it short when the night is pitch black,
Do not throw me out at a time when the devil himself is patrolling the earth,
Do not throw me out when thieves are roaming the streets,
Do not call it a day in the middle of the night.

Wait until day break when the paths are clear,
Wait until day break when our minds are still fresh,
Wait until dawn,
If your morning erection will not persuade you otherwise,
Then I will conclude that you really mean it,
When you call it a day in the middle of the night.

Strongly worded and concise. Nice poem.
"In the beginning was the word.........John 1:1"
...To delineate the times that lovers miss,
...A thousand dreams can't beat a single kiss.
