The Way Back

Post by thisgirl818 »

I wish you could find
Your way back into mine
Your lips pressed to mine
Your touch caressing my skin

I wish you could find
Your love back into mine
Or was it my love back to you?
Or was it my way back to you?

I wish I'd know what this is
This song i'm longing to sing
The sunset I desperately
Want to paint with my own hands

I wish I'd know what oblivion hid
If I loved you or just lived
If I was just trying to survive
As I walk through this Earth untamed

I really like the idea of someone finding their way back into your way. It acknowledges that you both have your paths, but you wish they overlapped.

I like this poem. It's never easy to find your way back, to recapture what you lost, to restore the things and feelings that slipped through your fingers.
