I Am

Post by Hildehraefen »

Who is it?
That made me choose to live,
When I was mired deep in dank despair?

Who is it?
That coaxed my heart to love,
When everyone had left for whom I cared?

Who is it?
That kept my blinded feet
Treading on the safest, straightest path?

Who is it?
Who in my darkest days,
Drew from my weary lips a laugh?

Who is it?
That when my stubborn soul
Refused to yield, still kept me in His eyes?

Who is it?
When I cracked my heart’s door,
Rushed in, and flew me with Him to the heights?

Thank you - that's very moving, and says something deeply worthwhile.

I like it. The feeling it gives echoes the truth of the greatest love that ever was and the greatest love story ever told.
