A dream is a blur

Post by Natalia Kavale »

I Couldn't Tell

In this dark and groomy place,
I turned around and took a pace.
Inside here, fear and silence seem to be the case.
Frightened eyes searching for a familiar face,
Like wandering clouds going on a chance.
In here I couldn't stop the shake.

Is it hide and seek we play?
I questioned but heard no reply.
Is it a scary night?
I couldn't tell even if I try.
A dream is such a blur, I couldn't deny.
I called out all night and searched with an eager eye.
Loudly I shouted but heard no reply.
A dream is such a blur, I couldn't tell.

It seems like a hollow night.
As black as eyes that are shut tight.
All darkness and no glimpse of light.
Confusion reigns supreme,
As a man who has lost sight.
With nowhere to turn, nothing seems right.
A dream is such a blur, with nothing to hold on tight.

In a lightning's flash, I turned into four.
Wandering thoughts all around me,
I'm left with nothing to hope for.
This fire has no shame,
And fear is such a flame.
Cricket sounds ringing in my ears,
Such irritating sounds of a glorious night.

I see you from a distance.
Are you dressed in white?
Or is it just a shinning light?
Though my hands couldn't touch,
I can still touch with my heart.
So bright is the light.
Or is it just in white?
I just couldn't tell, for a dream is such a blur.
