Dear Mother of the Deceased

Post by chrystalheart »

We regret to inform you
Your daughter
Whom you cherish
Fought bravely
Until the end
But in love
That age-old war
There are no rules
And he was ruthless
Her remains
Are walking about
In a parody of life
You may pick them up
At your leisure.
Sincerely yours,

Wow. That was very striking even though it was a very short piece. I honestly feel the length of it added to the intensity. The line 'parody of life' makes me imagine how the heartbroken are pretty much like the undead once reality hits them.

Thanks Leximillion. Everyone has had heartbreak. It's unfortunate it's so relatable. LOL.

I really like this! It's sad, but so true.
