Icon Wake Me Up When September Ends

Post by Thirielle »

September is getting near,
You'll soon be married, oh dear.
I hope this poem made it clear,
That I don't really drink beer.

Let's throw a party, shall we?
Hey! Who's the flower girl? It's Me!
Wait. Do you really invite Summie?
Oh gosh! I should not expect Phoebee!

I remember I still don't have an invitation,
Guess you don't have any plan giving me attention.
But it's okay Sir Chief, I really don't mind,
And I know that love really makes you blind.

I just remembered you still awe me a coffee,
Wait what? Summie doesn't really want calorie.
I mean, okay fine I'll drink that bitter sweet honey,
Just be sure that it's 101% free, okidokie??

Cut all the crap, I'm talking about your wedding,
Soooo.. I really do hope you'll wear her that ring.
Take care of her, she's now one of my crushes,
Because if you don't , I'll burn you into ashes.

Should I really end this poem now?
Okay but I hope you liked it and say wow.
I'm wishing you all the best Spongebob,
All your happiness should be like a surprise mob.

I created this poem way back 3 years ago, when my crush (who is a close friend) is getting married. And yep, this poem is for him.

Wow. If i am to write a poem for my crush who's nearly getting married, it will probably sound stupid and bitter. Your work is perfectly nice. Good job.

If you did not paste a note, I would've thought it's fun.

thank nochu! Haha. He's a funny guy and a close friend so I'm not really bitter whatsoever. I'm actually really happy for him. :)

Wow, interesting! I like how creatively you've turned into a beautiful and humorous poem your (supposed to be sad) experience. Well done!

You made an eloquent poem. Congratulations! I noticed you wrote "awe" instead of owe and "surprise" should have been "surprised".

I hope you don't mind my corrections. ♡

This is a humorous poem. And it has good rhyme. Great.
"In the beginning was the word.........John 1:1"
...To delineate the times that lovers miss,
...A thousand dreams can't beat a single kiss.
