Diamante

Post by Afolabi JaySmile »

My first diamante poem.
Hope you comprehend and enjoy this poem.

Love
Kind, faultless
Satisfying , caring, fighting
Family, relations, heartbreakers, naggers
Abhorring , shunning, envying
bitterful, murderous
Hatred

This is a new form for me. I had to look up the "rules" of the form. I think I may have to play with this so thank you for sharing.

As they say, there is a thin line between love and hate. I like how moved from one to the other.

Very interesting! Like Christina I too was unfamiliar with this form. Thank you for enlightening me to the form and for sharing your poem. (Also, welcome to the Online Book Club.)

you need not worry about finding the rules...

rhyme.
It can be used to describe 1 topic or 2

Line 3: 3 -ing words that relate to line 1
Line 4: 4 nouns (first 2 relate to line 1,

about opposite topics)
Line 5: 3 -ing words that relate to line 7
Line 6: 2 adjectives that describe line 7
Line 7: 1 word (subject/noun).
