Revelation

Post by Vedlka »

Future holds nothing, not that I've seen
But I know, 'cause that's my fate
And so, as long as I shall live
This piece must remind
Of all the love and hope I possess
Not for the world, but myself
Because I won't be alone
For I shall always have myself.

The tenderness might fade away
And so might the tears
The world might end
And so might my fears
But nothing shall sabotage
The love and hope I hold
Because I won't be alone
For I shall always have myself.

And after my heart stops beating
And my lungs give out
When everything goes down in ashes
And nothing is left out
Only then I shall succeed
In letting go of my love and hope
Because I won't be alone
For I shall then let go of myself.

Very well written poem... When everything crumbles down, we still have ourselves. We should always embrace self love.
However, take note of the grammatical error in the third last line of the last stansa:
" In letting go of (off) my love and hope"
Harmony in chaos. It's all a matter of perspective.

Wow, i love the details within this poem. Only death can part the love the persona has for self. The poem left an imprint on my heart and so I will cherish this poem.
