Recovery

Post by Asahley27 » 11 Sep 2018, 12:55

remember the day that I let you in,
Remember how quick I became your friend, giving my all and you was quick to take, breaking me down day by day.
You had me fooled living for you giving up on me and all my dreams
You ran my life pulled all my strings
Telling me lies that I believed, made me feel good talked so sweet whispered sweet nothing's that made me weak.i played along danced to your beat snapping my fingers and tapping my feet bobbing my head and trying to sing
Losing myself but I couldn't see how I was becoming what you wanted to see, losing all the sh*t that made me,
me

I've seen poems with this topic before but I really enjoyed this, I liked the rhythm and message of this one. The ending especially had an impact. Hope to see more from you :)
