HISTORY PROVE'S TRUMP IS RIGHT

Post by Butch Acuna »

It seems that a majority of Americans do not agree with most of the pronouncements made by President Trump. I do agree with President Trump, and a quick review of recent history will prove his pronouncements to be correct.

Let us discuss the issue of immigration. American (North) history clearly shows that the original inhabitants of the Land of the Brave were living a peaceful existence for thousands of years until the arrival of Eropean immigrants, particularly the religious refugees like the Puritans who were escaping from religious persecution.

These immigrants brought with them strains of highly contagious diseases particularly measles to which the immigrants were already immuned. These diseases nearly extirpated the native population. After futile attempts to defend their homeland against the new arrivals, the natives were herded like cattles into reservations, this proves that Trump is correct for his opposition to open immigration.

How about the president's wish to build a wall between the U.S. and Mexico? American history clearly shows that most of California was formerly a part of Mexico that was annexed by the U.S. this clearly illustrates that one must not completely trust it's neighbor. Trump is correct that something must be done to prevent people aspiring to return into their former territory. One American history writer even wrote that Mexico is lucky to have the U.S. as their neighbor or else they would have lost all their territory. Which would have been better since there would be no need to build a wall between them.

There are other wise pronouncements made by Trump that amazes the world as much as the statements made by President Duterte. One of those proves that allocating almost 300 billion dollars to fund the CIA may not necessarily result to reliable and believable intelligence reports.

Among his most surprising pronouncements is his praising President Putin as one very smart guy.Well, if one of two protagonistsn concedes his throne as leader of the Free World without a fight, then the other side should have done something really very smart.

But the truth must be said. America was built by immigrants to become the most developed and powerful country in the world today.

Reading this piece spurred a new challenge for me: must read "America history".

I agree with the wall and what the president is trying to do in regards for immigration. For one there could be foreign diseases that they're immune to being spreads and wiping out our society. Two, what about identity? We as Americans have ssn and fingerprints in the system and we have to struggle to provide for our families and we live here. They come here and have no form of identification, they get free food and shelter and jobs. Yet, we have homeless Americans on the streets who have to fight to get food and shelter. There needs to be order and they should gain citizenship the right way, not just freely enter as they please with no information on who they are or steps to being an American.
