Has anyone read the Dollhouse Murders by Betty Ren Wright? Glassfable's post made me think of it, because the dollhouse has tiny books inside.

It's a great book.

For me, my cabinet would be filled with dreams of a way of life that I hope to attain someday. I would have a full library with the miniature leather furniture with a fireplace and one of those double sided desks for my husband and me. I do not think I would have miniature people in it. But I have considered the possibility of maybe having miniatures of well loved but gone now relatives that I miss. My grandparents in particular. It would be nice to sit and reminisce about them using the dolls. And it might just be a way to introduce the past to the present great grandchildren who will never get to meet them only through stories shared.

Glassfable5: I used to play with these little creatures called Sylvanian families. They had little houses and accessories. One of my favorites was the book case with tiny plastic versions of books that you could use to line the shelves!

Mine would be my dream house as opposed to the one I live in now. It would for sure include myself, my husband, and our four children. And the cat, I suppose. The kids wouldn't have it any other way. Although I hope he'd cause less trouble in the miniature house. Other than that, I don't know what I'd have in it, except for a big library full of miniature books.

I agree with others that tiny bookshelves with even tinier books lining the shelves would me a must. I would also include my dogs, paintings, rugs, other furniture, and a miniature version of my own doll house!

This reminds me..I was at a convention and someone was selling handmade miniature versions of classic books that could be worn as dangly earrings. It was so cool! I don't really wear earrings or I totally would have gotten a pair!

I want a miniature tree house in Costa Rica instead. With rustic furniture and a miniature kitchen.

I'm definitely thinking I need a mini collection of all the best characters from all the games, books and movies I've experienced... Some Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, Destiny, all the classic 80s and 90s games, some mice from Redwall, hobbits from Lord of the Rings, etc. It would be like a museum of memories in that house!

The more I think about miniature books in a mini bookshelf, the more I MELT. I would love a couple of these, some miniature laptops, and my family.

I personally wouldn't want a replica of my current house, but I'd like to create a miniature world that I can look at and daydream about! Probably a scene in nature, maybe a forest with some wildlife roaming about, and my fiancée and I with our dog in a tent, looking to explore.

I think it is strange to make a smaller version of ones own house. I would rather make something that I hadn't already made, I think. My miniature house would probably have things I want but don't have in my own life. Or things that I love.
