Thanks for the insightful review. This is a brilliant collection, despite being a small one.

Just from reading the small sample you can feel the author's words as they resonate to those of us who, thankfully, have never experienced her memories. Her words are compelling and beautiful. I have never been a poetry consumer but this volume could change my habits.

I definitely want to read the whole thing. Thank you for your review. I like that the poet wrote with poetic tools like rhyme scheme and intentional line structure. So much modern poetry has thrown poetic tools out the window and just write free verse.

This appears to be a powerful collection of poems. Effectively showing emotion and and events through poetry is a praiseworthy skill. Kudos to the author and kudos to you for an excellent review.

I like your review and I am glad that this book has been featured as the book of the day. The title made me believe that I would be reading a Christian based book, but I was happily surprised that this was a book of poetry. I am not well adapted at understanding poetry, but knowing what I seen on the news about Syria I am glad that someone is giving a voice to these people.

This sounds like a good collection of poems about the author's experiences during Syria's civil war. It seems like a very intense and relatable book.
Feeling upset sometimes may be unavoidable, but acting distressed is always optional.

Poetry of this type can be really emotional for the readers. Still, I like that the author thought it fit to let us into the Syria civil war and all the bad things it caused to her people. Thanks!

This sounds like a really poignant and powerful collection. I enjoy poetry, especially pieces that are provocative and have a deeper meaning. I also love what you say about the author's skill in poetic techniques and word choice. I cant wait to read the collection. Thanks for the excellent review!

I remember there being a particular series in high school that a lot of students loved reading that was basically a collection of poems and short stories. This almost has the same vibe, but is much more real. I really am interested in the unique perspective of the author. I feel that there's a lot I could learn about them and perhaps even their background through reading their poetry.

Thank you for reading this and writing such a thoughtful and wonderful review!

I have been resolving to get back to reading more poetry, and this looks like a good step in that direction! And reading about the Syrian Civil War... I usually avoid, because it's depressing, but that is morally lazy of me, so I should really read this.

I read the preview of this book and really couldn't connect with it. It does look well written, but just not my cup of tea. Still, after reading the review, I may take another look at some time in the future.

Poetry isn't the easiest thing for me to read so I don't think this is for me, although it does sound very meaningful. Nice review.

Thank you for the excellent review. I read the first two poems and was struck by the matter-of-factness of her heartbreaking writing. Thanks again.

A Loaf Of Bread by Rana Bitar is a #Collection of 10 free-verse #Poems about the situation in the author's #Homeland and the distress her people experienced during the Syrian civil war.

I prefer to read light-hearted poems.

Thanks for the review.
