Reviews really help me find great books. This book by Rita seems like it has a different attack on poetry. I will definitely give this a try. Thank you so much.

I have a mixed relationship with poetry, but I typically appreciate and like it. This collection sounds poignant, thought-provoking, and emotional, so I might want to give it a try some time, especially since it only has ten poems. Right now, I can't handle the emotional roller coaster this promises to be, but I'll keep it in the mind for the future. Thank you for the helpful review.

This is a poetry written book in which the author focuses on his home and the distress her people experienced during the country’s civil war. Great review!!!

I have sampled the first two poems, and it's as if emotions were traveling from her soul to the paper through the pen. I could feel her pain and confusion.
But the path I’ve chosen has always been the right one, and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. :)

"Where I Am From" is actually one of those poems that's going to stay with me, particular the part that repeats I am..., I am..., I am...

A Loaf of Bread: Rana Bitar's poetic collection look deep into the human experience steeped in death, destruction, sorrow, and loss with fear of the unknown; from ode to lullaby this rendering tells of the civil war that has scarred the homeland and hearts of the survivor. Detailed review. :eusa-think: Congrats on BOTD.

Anyone who picked this up for Book of the Day needs to check their order status on Amazon. It was supposed to be free for the day, and I just found I was charged for it. I was glad I found it before it was too late to return it...

I am not a big fan of poetry; however, I loved reading this book. It was an emotional and beautiful read to me.
