Yeah, I understand. If history and poetry isn't your favorite combo, then I understand why you might not like this book.kandscreeley wrote: ↑06 Jul 2018, 08:00 I'm really glad that you enjoyed this collection. But, you lost me at history and poetry. That's kind of two of my least favorite things there. So, I guess I'll skip this one, but I do appreciate your review.

I get what you are saying. Nothing is more musical than the language of love.

Yeah, this one transports you to a land of dreams. So, if you are ready to drift off for a while, this could work out well then.Dabuddhababe wrote: ↑07 Jul 2018, 04:50 Twilight sounds like a good book if you like beautiful poems. I'm more of a post-apocalyptic read, but I'll keep this in mind when I need something uplifting. I'm kind of interested in seeing the pages writen in different languages. Great review!

You're absolutely right. I admire the author's knowledge of multiple languages too. It makes him a true scholar!KatSims92 wrote: ↑09 Jul 2018, 09:26 There hasn't been much poetry I've read that goes back in time and is written by someone in modern day from the perspective of someone from the past. Just that concept makes it sound so intriguing. It's so impressive that the author knows so many languages. Perhaps some would find those foreign language poems fascinating.

I am so glad I almost convinced you to read this one. Really appreciate the wonderful comment!kfwilson6 wrote: ↑13 Jul 2018, 08:01 Foreign languages do sound so beautiful and for those who can understand them, you can say things in another language that don't translate perfectly to English so the true beauty of certain words is really only found in another language. I wish I could read French or Italian. I think European languages are so lovely, and for those who could read the non-English poems and enjoy poetry, this sounds like a gem. I'm not a poetry fan in the least, but you almost convinced me with this lovely review. Great job.
