Great, thorough review. I like reading poetry, but the lack of regard for punctuation, capitalization, or grammar put me off a bit. Still, I am glad you enjoyed the book!

Glad to see you here, Bookowlie!

Capitalization and grammar errors are very few (I even think they are intended, as poets are wont to do); it's Lenzi's non-use of punctuation (it seems he doesn't like commas and periods, LOL) that makes the poems a challenging read. If you have time, check his blog. I think you will find the experience worth the time and the effort.

After reading such a moving review, I have no choice but to indulge in Lenzi's work. I like that your review is written in a poetic fashion.

Great, thorough review! You made a good point about wanting an index with the titles and themes. Poetry collections are often not laid out in any particular order so it would be nice to easily find a favorite 'llme or theme.

An index of themes would be most desirable as the author explores various themes in most of his poems.

Thanks for reading and leaving a wonderful comment, Bookowlie!

You wrote a wonderful review. The poems in this book seem like the work of a highly cultivated intellectual and I am eager to check them on my own. Thank you.

Yes i do agree with you . Poets do exploit their license to bend the rules of grammar and some time play with punctuations to drive home a point.I think this has to go to my 'to read' shelf.

I hope you enjoy Lenzi's work. He also has a blog that you can subscribe to. The art pieces that accompany the poems he sends via email are awesome.

I received an email today announcing that Paul Lenzi has passed on. I will miss his daily poems that greet me when I open my email. Go where you must, Paul! Godspeed!

I am awfully sad though.
