Ever want a book that will take you away from the stresses of life? Catnip of Life is the book that will accomplish that. Sharla Lee transports you to a world without worries, where everyone can express their emotions freely—inspired by nature and the gifts within it. Sharla Lee takes you on a journey to a new world, providing a new perspective through poetry.

I am a huge lover of poetry, but I have never read poems that open your mind and heart and free you from negativity. Lee did a stellar job using imagery, positive vocabulary, and internal rhyme to transport the reader into the beautiful world of nature that many have been craving. I know I have underestimated the beauty of nature and its effects on the human mind, but I am glad Lee reaffirmed its power and brought it to life as nobody else could. Using silence as a powerful tool and positive impact opened my eyes to the other perspective rather than viewing silence as loneliness.

Comparing life to blue skies, gentle waves, and bright sunshine puts your mind at ease and gives you a well-deserved break from reality. The descriptions of each poem not only described views of the environment but brought to life what it felt like (lone bits of sand, embroidering the magnificent sky). I cannot say enough positive things about this book. There was also nothing in this book I did not like. I cannot say anything negative about this book. I have never had such strong feelings about a book before, so it is an honor to give this book 5 out of 5 stars.

Mechanics-wise, I had to return to my sources to revisit the proper poetry grammar. After reviewing my sources, I can determine that Catnip of Life was exceptionally well-edited and well-written. There was no sexual content and no profanity in any of the poems. Lee brilliantly chose the correct vocabulary to bring her poetry to life, creating a wonderful experience for the reader.

Catnip of Life has re-awakened my spiritual nature to convince me to start writing poetry again. The book has confirmed why I love poetry and how it can reshape lives, viewpoints, and society for the greater good. The book is life-changing to the point where it creates a treasure trove of wonder. I hope Catnip of Life broadens the horizons of readers' hearts, minds, and spirits worldwide.
