Thanks for the insightful review. You gave me a good idea of what the book is about. The Tiny Details excerpt is interesting, although the overall subject matter of the book is not my cup of tea. It does seem like a very short collection for a published book.

Great review. As a reviewer I too often find it difficult to review poetry especially since I'm not that into most of it, but you have handled it beautifully.

I loved this collection. I am a big poetry fan in general, and every one of these poems really resonated with me. I wish there were more in the collection that I could enjoy.

Well done on the review! Especially for such a short collection, you really explored it thoroughly and brought the poems to life in your review! I'm the same way, I enjoy poetry but often feel bad reviewing it, but you've definitely done well here. Since it's the book of the day today, I've already read a few of the poems and your words nailed it - the poems have a way of capturing harsh reality and making it sound so poetic!

Reading this review makes me happy I did so before actually reading the book so I had a better idea of what to expect. That way I can prepare myself and not get turned off in the first 3 pages and stop reading. Thank you for this great review!!!

What a great review! I love poetry and the fact that he has a multi-cultural background that seems to influence his poetry makes me more interested. Thanks for the heads up on the misspelled words and that the author rarely used commas or periods. Can't wait to read this book.

Great review! Poetry is always hard to review; I definitely agree with you there. I do enjoy reading emotional poetry like you described, so I think I will enjoy this book.

Great review. I haven't read a lot of poetry and tend to take them literally but I did read one of them from the sample and it seems nice.

I love poetry. I've been reading a lot of poetry in the past year and have discovered some real gems. I honestly think writing poetry takes a certain amount of bravery. The poet is bearing their soul for the world to see.

Thanks for your detailed and objective review.
