The work of art is a beautiful thing. Poem is the master of all arts. It creates emotions deeper than mere imagination and beyond. It transfers human feelings to a realm of wonders. Passions: Love Poems and Other Writings is a book of art written by Gabriella Marie Milton. This is a book of 138 pages. It contains hundreds of poems. Love poems are the main focus of this great masterpiece. It also contains poems translated in other languages, other prose poems and flash fictions.

Can you ever get tired of reading love poems especially if you are in love? I was wowed by the poems. I became engulfed in them that I tend to memorize my favorite poems such as "shooting stars", "You", "I am your soul" and "Founders of love". Nevertheless, I have been inspired to write my own poems starting with love poems. I have never thought of reading a poem in other languages. There are a few poems in Italian. Although, it is difficult to memorize but I love the challenge it gave. More importantly, it was translated to English, making it enjoyable and fun. Such poems include initiation, seduction and atrocities.

Another enjoyable and interesting part of the book is the prose poems and flash fiction. Just like the love poems mentioned, I have my favorite prose poems such as "Art", "Tree of love", "Water", "Keep my memory". They were amazing and beautiful. Furthermore, this masterpiece uses a lot of figures of speech such as metaphor and simile. This is quite evident in the poems. An example of such is "the room is quiet like a tomb", and many more were used.

This became more and more ecstatic when I began to read about the different locations used by Gabriella. Places like Spain, Granada, East Indies, Nordic sea, all got me wondering if Gabriella had visited these beautiful places to know the best fit. Trust me, she must be excellent in geography.

I honestly did not find anything to hate in this book except that I was emotionally attached. The book was perfectly well-written. However, I rate this book four out of four stars.

I will happily recommend this book to people of all ages. It focuses on love, life, courage and passion. I am looking forward to reading more of Gabriella's poems. Those who find it difficult to love the works of art can begin to have interest if they read this great book. It does not contain any erotic scenes or words despite explicitly written for love.
