Sadly, I don't read poetry often, despite liking it. It appears that the author has done a terrific job of covering a lot of ground. Every chapter's themes really intrigue me. Great job on the review.

I’ll not a big poetry fan, but I do like that the author was able to describe her life and thoughts in a multilayered, yet simple manner that would be easy and meaningful to follow. The pictures that are included at the beginning of each poem makes it sound like a very unique book. I also enjoy that the author has separated the poems into sections and that the poet encourages positive qualities and discourage negative ones. Glad you enjoyed this well-edited book of poems! Thanks for sharing!

Great review. I would like to get a chance to read this poetry book, especially as it entails poems on slavery.

Most times reading poetry can be rather ambiguous. Based on the review, this book of poetry is clear, understandable, and relatable in its meaning. Great review!

Though the author captured interesting themes like slavery in past generations, racism in modern times, and many more, I'm not a huge fan of books of poetry, and to now have 45 poems in a book would definitely bore me. Congrats to the author on being the #BOTD!

"Now I See" by Sandra Leon Gonzalez. A very interesting book, the book is divided into four sections which in each has a story to tell. It talks about the slavery in the past generation, racism which occurs in this modern days, how COVID-19 has affected our lifestyle, love and spirituality. Congrats on your #BOTD.

My unforgettable poem in this book is the one titled "The joy we seek". I liked the line in the poem that reads, "We will find our true connection and see the oneness from above and celebrate together. In unity forged by love. We pray on page 20. Great review and congratulations to the author for the BOTD.

Composing poetry myself, and a poet lover by nature, the diversity of poetry's topics seems impressive. The message of the poetry is to inflict positive qualities and discourage negative ones. Thanks for a great review.

I am not a fan of most poetry because of the abstract ideas the authors normally try to project. The simplicity and clear messages covered in this book are more pleasant to read. Good review.

I read poetry sometimes. It's really great that the author shared some deep thoughts without obscurity. Since it's just a little over 100 pages, it seems like a short read too. Great review.
Insofar as the word 'should' even has meaning, then we must say that the past is exactly as it should be, everything that happened should have happened, and everything that should happen will happen

The review demonstrates that this book is based on slavery. It doesn't state from which part of the world, although am assuming american recollection of history. This question mark, it left my mind is part of a series of question that intrigued me to continue reading. It is well written and easy to follow.

The review definitely gives a nice summary, that inspires me as a reader to read the rest of the book. :) :) :)
