This is definitely a multi-faceted issue, and I love that the author chose to share his story. I'm certainly going to keep an eye out for this one, but probably after it has been organised and edited. Thanks for the great review as always, Miriam. Happy New Year!

This summary sounds heartbreaking! I'm glad the author still has a sense of humor after all he has experienced. This book seems like it is worth the read even with the numerous errors. Thanks for an informative and motivating review!

I had difficulty giving the low rating because I felt Darryl's message should be heard. But it wouldn't be fair if the book is not refined to be the best it can be.

Thanks for your kind interest.

This one seems as a "worth of giving a try" sort of book. Thanks for the comprehensive review 👍👍

This is a horrifying tale of injustice. I hope the author can improve the presentation now so that it reaches a wide audience.
This post was brought to you by the word "specifically".

It's so unfortunate that such awful things happen to people based on something like the amount of melanin in their skin. It's ridiculous and heartbreaking. I do love, that through it all, he keeps his good sense of humour. Sometimes you just need a good laugh. It doesn't change much, but it does make things a little easier. Anyway, great review!

Yes, I hope he does the needed cleanup. His mother and brother also wrote their own versions of the family story.

Thanks for visiting, Alice!
