The novel ignites the warmth of families during historical times and how siblings survived their daily lives in their neighbourhood. Good review.

This seems like a novel with a set of very interesting characters to look forward to in addition to the plot taking place during a very historical period.

This sounds like an engrossing read. The historical theme and simple loveable characters along with the fact that you offered no criticism are reasons enough to pick up this book. Thank you for the review. :)

This sounds like a great read for fans of historical fiction, especially those centered around family and family relationships. This coming of age, post WWII story set in Australia is especially interesting. Congratulations to the author on a great review. Thanks so much for sharing.

Not a fan of historical fiction so I will pass. Seems like a beautiful story about a close family.

This reviewer gave a good insight of the location and depth of characters in this post WWII novel. The intertwined web of relationships against a historical backdrop is the making of a good read.

I didn’t complete the book yet but based on detailed official review I could feel the contents of the book heart thoroughly.

The flow of story with all emotions and joy fullness as children atttracted me a lot.

I like the family theme, the touch of history and the setting in provincial Australia. It gives us a glimpse of life after WWII even if they were not directly affected by the war. Thanks for the great review!

[i[the nostalgia of a world in simpler times[/i]. As a millenial, I am curious on how people lived before technology took over, so I think I will enjoy this.

The sample I read portrayed a quaint family in simpler times. The characters seem engaging and the writing style is nice. It seems we’ve had a lot of the Book of the Days set in Australia lately which I love!

I found the book interesting with the review made by stacie k. The review is summarized wonderfully with all his admiration, that makes me eager to get and read the book as soon as I am free of my current reviewing.
