I guess I like historical fiction a lot more than I realized. It helps that I grew up on Long Island and the town I lived in used to be potato fields until the 1960s. It gave me a look at a part of history I had never thought about.

The fact that the novel is based on the family history of the author makes it all the more interesting. I would like to read the story of Minnie.
