Thank you for the great review. I agree with you about the scenes about violence not being terribly nice but being part of the genre. It's still good to have a warning about how explicit the descriptions are as there can be exceptions to the rule.

I'm not the target audience for this book so I'll have to pass. Nonetheless, you're review was incisive and I bet those into war/action stories will enjoy reading this.

This sounds like a really good novel and I would enjoy reading it. I think that I would like to start with volume 1 but it sounds like an interesting combination of characters in the backdrop to The Great War.

You got me confused there for a bit. I checked and found that the book is about the Great War or the first world war as it was known after the second world war.

I think your review was great and compelling, except for that one I mentioned above.

I sampled the book on Amazon. The book begins with the instances of war. As mentioned in the review by Crediblereading2, this book should interest people who are fond of war-fiction.

I am general not a fan of books with a military focus but the personal stories of the characters sound captivating. Thanks for your review.
