I can really picture the small town of Normal, Texas with its sheriff, gamblers, outlaws, and Native Americans. You meet a lot of characters in this book but I like that you're not left wondering what happens to anyone.

This western historical novel contains murder, revenge, and gangs in old Texas. It will be interesting to learn about the Tarahumara tribe through its pages.

I love historical fictions, and this wild west thriller does not look to disappoint. I'm curious if Bender's family will get his justice once and for all.

The book cover with its striking blue color followed by a warm brown and a black and white illustration on stark white background evokes a sense of conflict. Judging from your review, my guess was not wrong. This seems like a well-written historical fiction depicting life in the West with gambling, murder, and gangs thrown in. I am not a fan of Western fiction and hence, will pass this. Thanks for the review.

This book tells the story of a murderer on the run, with relatives of the man he killed hot on his heels. The hunters and the hunted converge in the rather peaceful town of Normal, where their presence causes a stir.

I'm not really a fan of historical fictional novels. But this review is really interesting. Guess I'll give it a try. Kudos to the reviewer.

Putting together three stories into one isn’t an easy venture, but it sounds like this author did a good job getting it all together for an exciting tale of the old west. I’m not a big western fan, so this one is probably not for me. Thank you for the insight to this book, however.

This story does sound entertaining. I love that the author does the history aspect of the story justice and the rest is well-developed. However, I must say, the title is a little distracting as it is very long. Congrats on the book of the day! Great review.

This historical fiction novel based in the southern part of America contains a plot revolving around Clarence, a professional card player, who ends up killing a card cheat. After Bender is murdered by Clarence, his family members are on the hunt for revenge. This sounds like an interesting and well written novel about life during the times of the wild west and should appeal to readers who like Western novels. Thanks for the nicely written review which highlights the important aspects of this book.

I am not usually a fan of this genre but after reading some of the beginning pages I may make an exception for this book and read it. It is fast-paced, action packed and well-written. Yes, there is a shoot-out right in the beginning like you may expect from a Western Fiction book, but it immediately goes to more action. Congrats on the BOTD!
