This book comprises three stories intertwined and told as a single tale, with events in the town of Normal taking center stage. F. Richard Allen gives a complete account of each protagonist’s story, and he does not leave the reader wondering what became of anyone. His writing style is one I admire.

I sampled the book on Amazon. It seems a very interesting historical fiction based in Old Texas. There are instances of crime, murder, ruthlessness, etc. portrayed dramatically. I enjoyed the first few chapters and would recommend the audience with similar taste to definitely go for this read. Cheers :) :)

I have always loved westerns. Back when "Bonanza" came on TV. The story definitely sounds interesting. But I have to be honest I kind of disappointed and concerned about the use the word "****** " in the review. I know what the regular word means, so need to wonder how that fit in this book. Congrats on BOTD, I am not sure if I will read this one.

This book sounds like an educational historical fiction. I am interested in learning about old Texas and the Tarahumara. Therefore, I will give this book a try. Thank you for your review.

Very interesting historical fiction. A novel depicting the gun culture of the wild west. To be honest it's a story of everywhere, anywhere where justice does not prevail. A powerful uses his powers against the weaker ones. I will not be able to read it. Anyways CONGRATS on BOTD 💐💐👍🏻👍🏻💐💐

Historical fiction is not usually my genre of choice, but I read the first four chapters and this one seems alright. I didn't quite get to everything in you mentioned in you review, but it seems like you've summed up the start of the book quite nicely. I'm still deciding if I'm going to read the rest of it or not. Thank you for the well written review. If I do decide to read the rest of this book it will be because of what you've written here.

This book sounds fairly exciting, although I'm not too keen on Old West books, especially since certain terms which I am not comfortable with are often used. Still, I suppose I will not let that keep me from the book entirely if it is as well written as you say. I'll just take it all with a grain of salt. Thank you for the helpful review.

Beautiful write-up, the writer brought out a point, murderes and their supporter knows no peace irrespective of their hideout their sins will find them out.

This book not only sounds like a history lesson, but also very entertaining historical fiction. This is not an era I normally read in the genre, but I am thoroughly intrigued by this story after reading the synopsis on Amazon, and now reading your review. It simply sounds like a must-read! Thanks for your interesting review!

Riding shotgun on the normal stage . A well written historical fiction that tells three stories in one tale? With poker gambling and old west confrontations and cheat kills? Count me in on this one. Congratulations.

I was drawn to this book because of the authentic historical details on questions of race, sexuality and killing in the old west. I discovered the author's style captured the essence of the tough life at the time. I am anxious to read more about Isidro, the Tarahamura Indian, and the way his story interwines with that of the poker player Clarence and the Kilgory brothers. Thanks for an interesting review!

Supergirl1, I like the way you arranged your review.
You started by introducing the genre of the book then you gave an insight of the story and then you talked about the characters.
I would have read the book but it is fictional.
Nice work once again.
