I'm in the middle of reading this book, i find it interesting to read. I'm amazed by how jacko and his colleague's relied so much on the dancers at the Casino Opera to gather information, it becomes so sad when one of the girls dies mysteriously and how the killer strangled the victim.

A sequel revolving around child trafficking and other adventures sounds exciting. Jamie and Jacko are back, this time tracking trafficking ring and other enemies. Despite being second book of the series, I understand it can stand on its own. Too bad about the stilted dialogues. I don't think it is for me, but I am glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for the review!

This is a mystery crime adventure novel that has a captivating plot that ensnared me and an inciteful onlinebookclub review that highlighted the best the book had to offer. I rated the book 3 out of 4 stars. Congrats on being the BOTD.

I hope former army officer Jamie and Warramunga aborigine Jack are able to catch the pervert criminals and bring justice! It's interesting how you were able to figure out the bad guy fairly quickly, but to learn there's more than the initial investigation? That sounds exciting! It's great to hear that the characters were developed well, including Jacko's half-sister, Sarah. Also, it's nice to learn that the Australian and Philippines descriptions were done well. Too bad about the stilted dialogue, but I'm glad you were able to enjoy this one regardless. Thank you for the lovely review!

Wow a very nicely written review. When I first received the book of the day I directly added it to "not interested shelves" as I don't enjoy War stories. But as I started reading your review I realised that I could have missed a very interesting book. The plot with child trafficking and it's investigation sounds interesting.will definitely read it.

Thank you for your review. I love a good crime mystery, and the descriptions of Australia and the Philippines sounds like it would be an interesting read.

Very interesting to see the second book in the trilogy so soon after the first. It sounds like this book is written just as well as the first.

The second part of the book where you said that Jamie, Jacko, and Sarah track the criminals in the Australian wilderness using Warramunga survival skills sound interesting. I like how you said that the author describes places in Australia and in the Philippines well.

I have 3 kids,I love to read any book that talks about pedophiles so I know what to watch out for. Human trafficking as well? This should be an interesting read. I am not a fan of WW2 novels but maybe I should give this a try

I actually thought that the war theme would continue in this book too. However, I was pleasantly surprised to see it move into a different territory of crime and suspense. The dialogue bit that you mentioned often takes the fun out of reading good books. Thank you for your review!

Thanks for your review! I'm happy to hear that Jack and James are still working together. I have to agree with your point about the dialogue. This bothered me in the sample from the previous book in the series. I hope that they will be able to bring the human traffickers to justice!

This is the second part of the trilogy of The Warramunga's Aftermath of War by Greg Kater and it is about war and espionage. In the second book the two main characters Jamie and Jacko playing the role of the heads of the Darwin office of the Commonwealth Investigation Services (CIS).

In this second part of the book Jamie and Jacko they find a fishing boat and a child on the lower deck and they have to investigate this child trafficking case, very interesting to read.
