I will have to give it a pass though because I just cannot read books with a large number of editing errors. I would rather wait until they have been fixed and the book re-written before I try it.
I understand your reluctance. The errors weren’t too distracting, but they were plentiful enough that I needed to deduct a star.

The way that you have reviewed this book is brilliant. It has certainly given me the impetus to go and read it right away. I am really drawn to the characters' deep and intense connection.

This book sounds as if it is the perfect mix of history and fiction. I am not a huge fan of historical fiction but I do enjoy a good romance novel with maybe a hint of true history to it. I think this book has the perfect ratio of romance to history and I think I would learn a good bit. I also am prompted to research historical events when they are mentioned in a novel, as it intrigues me to find out what really happened and get more in depth information on the aspects that I am interested in. I hope the book, or series at least, has a happy ending. This seems like it would be a bit of a struggle to get through.

P.S. Love the reference to Oliver Queen!

Interesting review that has hastened my willingness to read the whole book to quench my reading thirst. I like the order in which the events are delineated

I feel like an older version of a little girl listening to a fairy tale while reading your review.

Since your story revolves around love and war, it brought me to think about the quotation, "All is fair in love and war." I wonder, "Why so?"

You left me hanging about the ending. I'll read this book to know more. Thanks for the wonderful review.

Great review! I like war stories where you see the impact on the loved ones left behind, so I am going to add this one to my reading list. The nice writing style is a nice bonus.
