Thank you for your review. This book looks very interesting to me and I do like family sagas if the characters are complex enough. From your review, it sounds like good complex psychology and I like the fact that different families intersect at different times in the novels. I will take your advice that this is not a good stand alone novel and read in sequence so I can follow the characters better
