I need to know much about European involvement in African from 1900 till to day and the book will handle a little to that. Thank you for great review.

This book certainly has a lot of treachery and scandal involved, as the title suggests. However for someone to read a book and enjoy it, it must be written in a concise manner.

I missed this when it first came out. It sounds like quite a challenging read. I'm intrigued by the use of the name 'Azania' - I gather the term is used generically, but in this particular case does it perhaps indicate that this is an alternative history?

It was challenging, but a good read in the end! As to your question about it being an alternative history, it was accurate in terms of major background events and timelines (as far as I understood it to be). It seemed that big historical events turned out in the book the way they actually did in history. The main plot itself was fiction but seemed to coincide accurately with history as well. However, perhaps the African territories being discussed were a bit loosely defined in the book, thus the use of the overarching term, Azania. Thanks for commenting! :)

Espionage, historical background, and a diverse cast of main characters? This already sounds like a great read! It's a shame about the not-so-well-organised timeline and the writing style, but it does sound like something that would be up my alley as a lover of historical fiction and literally anything to do with spies or secret agents XD Thank you so much for your review, you were very thorough in your analysis! I think I might just add this book to my reading list :)
