Caught between love and duty, Joe is very much in the thick of trouble. The political and religious conflict had erupted amidst the changing consciousness of Ireland since the times past, and it only ripened to this volatile state recently. This novel could have much in its favor to depict history correctly. Thank you for your interesting review.

As I was sampling the book, I got to Chapter 3 before I realized it. Having some knowledge of Ireland and the IRA the inclusions within the story gives the book credibility and believability. The story line is so intriguing that it keeps the reader wanting more. More knowledge about Ryan story, more knowledge about the sea, plainly just more. Wonderful story that is definitely a 4 out of 4 stars. Thank you for a spot on review.

Beliefs and Religion are very strong denominators to most people, the review make me wanna grab the book sit all day to devour it,Culture being another strong factor, Big Ryan's role another catchy point. Generally the mix of culture, religion, morals, duty and love is Fantastic! :techie-studyinggray: :techie-studyingbrown:

Great review. This one sounds good. A little history related to modern times. Add in CIA spying and this one hits a home run.

One character in the book, Fiona, is said to reflect what war does to a person. The irish war is also an eye opener to a modern war I never had the opportunity to follow or know about.

I am a sucker for anything involving Ireland, and I love the idea of seeing the effects that Ireland's troubled past has had on its present residents. The relationship between Joe and Fiona doesn't sound like it would be my favorite part, but there seems to be enough to the story otherwise to keep my attention, so I'll have to remember this book for when I have free time. Thank you for the thorough review.
