Historical fiction isn't really my taste but I've read some that appealed to me. From this review, I guess this novel is an interesting one.. I already added it to my want to read bookshelf.

This could be astonishing to read. I am intrigued on how the character brings the plot to life and how they change the perception of the reader towards the turn of events.

I'm not big on historical fiction or suspense-thrillers, but this sounds like a well-developed story with lots of action. Thanks for your review!
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

You did a thorough review. Thumbs up for that👍. I usually don't like war and stories about war because the dread of war makes me mentally disturb. So this book would definitely not be my pick.

I am not usually one to read historical fiction, but with this review I might just read it.

This book portrays the scenes during the second world war and most importantly revolves around the two protagonist James and Jack who are with the countries that are fighting against Nazis. After completion of their assignment at Syria they are posted to Egypt to do the intelligence job in order to neutralize the Nazis who are trying to get support from African military. The story sounds quite compelling to read the book completely soon.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

Even if historical fiction is one of my favourite genres, I didn't select this book to review since I didn't think it would be to my liking. But now I'm not so sure about my choice. I think I'll give it a chance since it sounds like an interesting read. Thanks for your review. Otherwise, I'd have missed a great book.

This historical fiction sounds quite interesting. The characters Jack and James seem quite fun. It would be intriguing to read about historical events and the mission James and Jack are on in Egypt. Can't wait to find out what happens. Great review.

I don't tend to see war stories based in Egypt. Sounds like it gives a different take on the trials and tribulations of less secure places. Thanks for the review.

Wonderful review! I am a fan of historical fiction and romance. I'm not into war and the fight scenes, but I am into historical facts as long as they are entertaining and not listed out like a textbook. After reading your review I find this book intriguing. It sounds like it might be a good blend of characters, history, and storyline.

Historical fiction is not my cup of tea though, but your enchanting review and the sample make the story seem quite interesting, what with the suspense of reading what Jack and James learn as spies.

I'm not a fan of historical fiction but I applause authors of this genre for making topics such as war interesting for other readers.

I loved this book last time it was BOTD - I really must get around to reading it... it seems to be historically accurate and I hope to learn lots about the war in Africa.

I have reviewed this book, loved it. Easy to read, nice storyline and flow. The book is in two parts, first part set in Egypt and second part set in Australia.
Decent humour and no over glorication of the wars or action scenes. Only sad part for me was the story of the 'war widows', found it quite sad. Congrats to the author on #BOTD
