Though I like reading historical fiction novels, I don't enjoy those that center on wars. Nevertheless, your review piques my interest. This one seems appealing. Thanks for the review.

Based on the review I don’t think this book is one that I want to read. Historical fiction is one of my least favorite genres to read. I also don’t enjoy books that are centered around politics or depressing subjects. So with the story touching upon the Holocaust, World War II, gas chambers, etc. I don’t think I will be reading this book.

This book sounds interesting. I like that it’s a historical fiction about a World War 2. I also like hearing that the characters are so multidimensional and true to life. This is a fascinating story. Thanks for your review.

Though historical fiction is not my favourite genre, but the sample of the book and your thoroughly informative review have left me wanting to know more about the character development of Lena. Thanks for the review.

Barbara Ridley's "When It's Over" sounds like a heartfelt historical fiction with great character development. I liked that your review mentioned the reaction of the English public to foreigners. I agree with you that the public's actions are heartbreaking. Unfortunately, however, the "interesting perspective" is not novel. The aforementioned sentiment probably occurred many times throughout history, such as some current Americans' mistreatment everyone - who appears to be of Middle East origin.
