A very well written review, but I’m curious, you stated that there wasn’t much to the story to make it different or unique, other than perhaps character development, but yet give it four stars. What rating would you give a book that was different and unique, making it, in a fashion, better than this one?

While not my normal go-to read, after taking in the sample on Amazon, I nearly fell in love with Eden myself. Your note that "This story is rich with cozy and descriptive visuals, from the gorgeous coastline," is very accurate.
I feel like this is the type of story that I would enjoy on vacation, lounging on the beach.
Nice review. I'll will be putting it on my to-read list.

Nice review! I always appreciate characters that are not some idealized persona of 'all good' or 'all bad'!! Will check this out!

Family drama makes novels better than they are actually supposed to be. This being the case, this book attracts me more. Great review by the way.

I loved what I read from the sample, especially Becca’s character. I’m glad that overall she’s making whether or not to keep her baby her decision. Congrats on BOTD!

This seems to be an interesting family drama that dwells on various problems between parents and children and tries to figure out what is at the bottom of these problems. It is clear that in such cases both parts are guilty and the author described his character in such a way that that "none of the people were entirely good, or entirely bad people" which is pretty good and attracts a lots of people to read the book.

All families have good and bad people in them. Everybody has a good and bad side. Such is life: regardless of social status, we are all flawed humans. I am terribly intrigued by this family's secret. And totally impressed with this review.

WoW! OMG! I loved this book, nice one by McWilliams! I read it in a couple of minutes, not wanting to put my phone down, needing to see the conclusion to the fate of the characters. And what supriesed me the most in the book was that I really fell in love with the review...I can't wait for the Family secret
to be revealed 👌

I find this preview to be interesting and grabs your attention right from the start about family secrets. I thought it was intriguing that the grandmother would mention anything to the granddaughter before she told her own daughter. It keeps my attention and makes me want to read more to learn about the big secret that this family holds.

I think I will put this on my "to read" bookshelf.

I think it is a good review due to the rich descriptions of the characters and plot. However, it is not a book I would personally be interested in reading. The "big secret" isn't enough to draw me into the lives of a rich family and a big house. I think the "first-world" problems statement applies to me. Not interested.
