My mom is an unbelievableIy good person. Growing up our home was home to other relatives, not just my mom, sister and dad and I. It was hard and we did that off and on for years with many different family members moving in and out. It was stressful and upsetting for everyone. But now, it is back to normal and all of us are a lot happier. We don't see those family members anymore because we had a falling out. Our bond with them was definitely broken. At least in this book it sounds like they made it through.

I love well-written books about family history/relationships. I will be adding this to my "want to read" shelf.

The plot of the story is interesting. Filipinos values family a lot, they face the problems and struggles all together though they had their own family but still each member of the family is there to help if one member is having a hard time...

Thanks for your review of this book. I am intrigued because the characters are multi-dimensional, but hesitant that the issues they face are first-world problems.

When the story have to do with Family, it doesn't matter how the story goes, it always pull a string in the heart because of the binding factor (Blood)

A 4-4stars fantastic reviewed interesting sorrowful story that brought enjoyment to the familar, what fascinate me most is the leadership ability to moderate the interest of a large home successfull
y.Becca the head of the family invited the Eden to reveal the long over due family secret and to reunion with others, confronted with financial challenges coupled with the position of her dougther Racheal and unexpected pregnency of her grandoughter, and thinking of salling their family property or contect their brothers to share the borden of debt and when the secret was finally revealled the family fortune changed.i love to read a followup of this type of story
