Thank you for the great review! The big secret has me intrigued. I’d like to get to know these believable characters and experience their lives at Eden.

Our families set up, nature, and inter-relationships has a greater impact on our everyday life. I'll love to read this book and get to understand more about it. Thanks for this review.

There are very few books in this genre I have enjoyed. Family drama is just not my taste.

It seems worth read already from the free few pages. Every family with their issues. I am glad you noted it was more of a first world problem. Those not belonging to that group might still learn about or be fascinated by the diversity of the world we all share.

Interesting premise. This book seems to be focused on the trials of Becca, Sara, and Rachel- grandmother, granddaughter, and daughter, respectively. Becca has just lost her husband of fifty years and discovered that the money has run out. They'll now have to find a way to live without their precious family summer home in long island or rhode island or one of those. On top of that, Sara's broken up with her professor/boyfriend after discovering she's pregnant. All of their lives turned upside-down in one fell swoop. Sound fun? Read it. I personally find it hard to read anything without the fate of the world a stake and don't need more family drama than i already have. Written fairly well, though a little awkwardly sequenced/positioned at times.

Excellent review. I really enjoy your synopsis. You gave enough detail without giving any of the secrets away. I read the sample chapters and was thinking "what is Becca's secret?" only to read the Amazon summary and have it revealed to me. I wish they hadn't given it away. I enjoy a good family drama and learning about the characters. Books like this are all about the characters, their motives, their desires, and their secrets. As long as the author can write his characters well, this type of story is a good one to me.

A story about family secrets doesn't really garner my interest. The review, although well written, points out the fact that this story focuses on multiple generations which doesn't appeal to me.

I enjoyed your review. It helped me make more sense of the sample I read and where it was heading. I was wondering why it was continuously going back in time when it seemed things needed to be happening in the present. I did have trouble relating to the first-world problems of the characters.

Though I don't think I might relate so much with the first-world problems of the rich few, I kind of like stories about family drama and I'm interested in "watching" how the big secret unfolds. Thanks for the enjoyable review.

I have not read the book in its entirety but the above review shines a pleasant insight about the book. Picturing and representing it from an elitist background as portrayed by the author.

This sounds like a good family drama. Not my usual type of book and you're right that some may not relate to the first-world problems but the first chapters were intriguing and I might read more. Thanks for the review.
