The review ties the book's understanding subtly to the build up of its characters.
Though the plot is not explosive, I bet it will be a good read as one waits for the family secret to be revealed

It seems like a nice book, based on your review. Families are really complicated, we just have to come together if we want it to work out.

Good summary of the book but the summary takes up 75% of the review. I too am curious as to what the big secret is?

Great review, well written. This book sounds like a great Lifetime movie. I love to curl up with a blanket, popcorn and coffee and watch a great drama on television. This books seems to give its reader the same appeal.
