Hmmmm.....The aftermath of any war is always unfortunate. It is better to always avoid quarrels that can lead to war. Good job Rose.

The protagonist faced a lot of challenges being in Australia which, at the time was an enemy of Germany due to the war in as much as war books Carry a sad element, I will look into this one

It looks like a very interesting read - especially from a viewpoint that is not often seen. I don't normally read historical fiction, but with this one I may make an exception! Sounds like a very emotional story.

This just let known how soldiers go through he'll in world warII, even not all soldiers av the will of going to war but just obeying order. Kudos to the writer

This sounds like an excellent depiction of how individuals can get caught up in historical events. Rolf would have to deal with identity issues as someone who's hiding the fact that he's the "enemy", as well as recovering from trauma. I hope he finds peace although this is a sad story.

Great review. I am very interested in the consequences war has on people's lives. No matter what the reasons for a war are, it is always a disaster which destroys people.

Thanks for your review. I experienced similar emotions to yours as I read the sample. I think I'll read the book to get the full story. It doesn't seem to be a book for the faint-hearted, though.
