A diverse group of people resisting a totalitarian president? This does indeed sound timely in today's climate. This sounds like an intriguing political thriller.
This post was brought to you by the word "specifically".

I am not to into political books, but this sounds like a interesting one that goes into what the future could hold for us now if we allow things to continue how they are. I don't know if I'll read this book myself but I appreciate your review.

This book does seem pretty prevalent in today's society - a president of three years has changed the US for the worse...freedom and rights are gone. Then, a resistance movement? This definitely seems disturbing to me, too. It's great when an author's words stay with you even after you finish reading, but I'm afraid this may be too intense for me. Too bad about the technical errors toward the end. I'm glad that you enjoyed the read regardless of its flaws. Thanks for sharing!

This book sounds chilling and definitely thought provoking in its scope. This is a very daring political novel that brings to life prophetic events on a biblical scale.

Excellent review! It sounds like you sold quite a few people on it! It stresses me out even thinking about the possibility of this becoming a reality, so I'm going to pass, but I have added it to my WTR list...just in case. Your review alone has my mind reeling; I can't imagine my anxiety really reading the book. Whew! :-) Thanks, again!

I have to admit I was a bit dismayed by the opening premise of the book as it appeared to be negative stereotyping of Islam. However, I hope that the rest of the book is balanced by the presence of Makim and Qasim and their participation with the others. Thanks for the review.

Reading through this review, I could feel the chill of how close to home the story is. It could happen the way the story was written and that's quite scary. I need to read the book. The reviewer did a great job of wetting my appetite for this political thriller.

Tis book made me mad at first as it was my worst fears come to life, my country gone to Muslim law, destroyed. Then it made me cry as first lady was shot, then it changed direction, in short I will finish reading this book

This book will give us a glimpse of the future, one that is filled with greater fear and lesser freedom. It's alarming indeed, and this book would be enlightening and offers precautionary measures to everyone as it isn't impossible that such prediction could take place in the future given the similar scenarios being experienced in the world today. Thanks for the engaging review.

This book sounds great; I'm excited to read It. I do wonder, however, if it is biased. I do like when authors offer two sides or play devil's advocate and try to portray a character who would be a villain as a protagonist. Your review certainly has left me wanting to read the whole book, not just the sample. I normally prefer historical fiction, but this story seems good. :D

Thank you for sharing the Acts of Sedition by Dennis Stephan. Based on the review, it sounds like an intriguing tale about the corruption of political power in the United States. This is timely because of the current political situation in which a foreign government could have swayed the election. Based on the review, I'll download the book.

I’ve read similar dystopian books in the past, and this one doesn’t sound all that unique. I like the idea of a book about a totalitarian future for America, but again I’m not sure this plot point is all that unique. Additionally, the mention of grammatical errors was immediately off putting for me.
