i always like stories from the bible retold in a different manner. I think the book made me feel that the first family are true people that really existed and not some tale from the bible.

I just finished First Family. I agree that it was an interesting retelling of a story I have heard many times. I really liked how the author labelled each chapter section with the name of the narrator. This helped the transitions from one person to another feel seamless. The author did a very good job helping the reader experience some of the thoughts and feelings that the first family may have felt throughout their lives.
