This sounds like a great book to help people relate to the stories told in the Bible better, as people!

I really enjoyed reading from Adam and Eve's perspective. Alice Langholt did a wonderful job describing the garden and everything in it. I rarely read religious books, but 'First Family' made Adam and Eve's story extremely enjoyable. I would definitely read more bible stories if they were written like this one.

This review is very great, it sounds as if I have never heard anything about the story of Adam and Eve in the bible. I am touched by the book. Thanks to the author for the great job :D

The book seems to be close to "Who Told You that You Were Naked" . Story of this book is appealing. I also appreciate the reviewer for writing good review.

An exciting new bible story. As the bible is already a work of fiction I'm surprised they have to rewrite it. Then again there have been many many films rehashed recently so I guess it's the trend nowadays.

Great review, thank you! What an interesting concept and, though, as you said, the author took artistic license, it still sounds like a fascinating read. True or not, we can only speculate what the first family may have thought or felt. But, to have them come to life on paper is an extraordinary plot.

First Family by Alice Langholt is a book showing the progress from a Neanderthal man turning into a more organized being where Bible writing was possible. A retelling from garden-of-Eden and other history. A 4 out of 4 stars rating. An inspirational book.

First Family is arguably one of the stories that seems real to complete the story of Adam in the Bible.

I'm new to everything here and I'm trying to figure it out, so I just downloaded this book and ended up quickly reading the first part before going to bed- I couldn't put it down! How interesting to be right there with Adam as he curiously discovers EVERYTHING- well, almost- for the first time. Rather than just a Biblical figure, I could actually see him with a voice and as human.

I can see how much you loved the book (and your review would make most people go grab a copy!) I'm only, I think ten pages in, but it's looking like a winner. I'll let everyone know as soon as I'm done...and then I have to figure out how to post my own review...
